Writer / Director / Producer: “Stone Age Man"
Stone Age Man had his own genetic code, one that evolved directly from reptiles. Very simple, crude genetic impulses designed to perpetuate life guided SAM in his approach to sex, to eating, to his fellow humans and to his fight or flight instinct. These impulses came down to two overwhelming genetic imperative: survive and propagate the species.

Fast forward some 50,000 years and we see how much our lives have changed since the cold, desperate days of Paleolithic times. But many of those genetic impulses upon which the hunter-gatherer developed for his own survival remain with us today. And it’s getting us into trouble.

Though the Stone Age ended several thousand years ago, Stone Age Man is alive and well. He exists within all of us, wreaking havoc on our daily lives. In an extraordinary two-part documentary we explore, with humour and insight, the effect of Stone Age impulses on modern life by actually bringing these two worlds together.

Writer / Director / Producer: “This Far By Faith"
This Far By Faith is the story of gospel music told through a handful of compelling youth choirs in the run up to the annual International School Gospel Choir Olympics in Brooklyn, New York.

On the table: prize money, the possibility of a career in music and of course, bragging rights as the top children’s gospel choir in the country.

The journey starts in 6 unheralded corners of North America – Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, South Carolina and rural Quebec - where we meet our contenders; talented, spirited, charming and dedicated kids who are trying to sing their way out of life’s hardships and find some direction through the centuries old traditions of gospel music.  Some kids use sports or rap to escape the ghetto life. For these kids, it’s gospel.

Writer / Director / Producer: “How They See Us ”
What do America’s best and brightest think about Canadians?

How They See Us taps into Canada’s second favourite national obsession - after hockey - by combining fast paced celebrity interviews with a basic historical narrative about Canadian-US history.

Ours is strange, nuanced and unique relationship and one that most Canadians find fascinating.  As a nation with more than its share of insecurities and identity issues, Canadians crave to know how others see us, especially when Americans are doing the talking. And even more-so when it’s their best and brightest.

In How They See Us, we talk to everyone with a profile and a provocative opinion, culling the best from a long list of politicians, writers, actors, athletes, musicians, architects, entrepreneurs and everyone in between.  The comments range from the witty and insightful to the hilarious to the shockingly ignorant.

Ultimately, it’s a mirror of ourselves from the perspective of those who seem to matter most to us: our much maligned, yet always revered, American cousins.
